News / Pedestrian taken to hospital

A PEDESTRIAN was taken to the Gilbert Bain Hospital and treated for minor injuries following a collision at Gremista, in Lerwick, around 7.30pm on Thursday.

At about the same time the main A970 at the Blackgaet junction had to be closed for a short time as a result of a two car collision. No one was injured.

A report is being submitted to the procurator fiscal in relation to careless driving, Lerwick police said on Friday morning.

Meanwhile, police are looking for information after two plastic bollards were damaged near the Brae Co-op sometime between 7.30am and 9am on Thursday morning.
