General Election 2024

The next United Kingdom general election will take place on Thursday 4 July 2024.

You will have one vote and can choose from six candidates to serve the Orkney and Shetland constituency.

You have until Tuesday 18 June 2024 to register to vote, if you've not registered already.

If registered to vote you will get a poll card in the post before the election. This will tell you where to vote. If you do not have one, contact Shetland Island Council.

You will need photo ID to vote in this general election, find out more from The Electoral Commission.
