Members of Lerwick jarl squad enjoy Måløy visit
A LARGE group from this year’s 2026 jarl squad are currently visiting Lerwick’s twin town of Måløy.
The five-day visit to Norway included a trip up the mountains above the town of Loen and a close inspection the world’s largest replica longship.
The design of the longship was taken from ultrasound of Viking ship graves buried on land.
The big finale of the visit will be a torch-lit procession through the streets of Måløy on Saturday evening.
