Emergency services / Vehicle fire extinguished

EMERGENCY services attended to a vehicle which caught fire on the A970 south of Levenwick earlier this morning (Thursday).

The fire service received the call at around 7.10am, with one appliance from Sandwick attending.

One set of breathing apparatus was used, as well as a hose reel jet.

The fire has now been extinguished and vehicles can pass, although as of 8am it is understood emergency services were still on scene for traffic management.
