Casting call for talented local youngster to play Tosh’s daughter
FILMING for series 11 of the BBC drama Shetland is set to return to the isles in late spring.
The BBC confirmed that filming would start on the Scottish mainland in April, before moving to Shetland later.
The search is also on for a “talented” Shetland youngster to play a key role in the new series.
A casting call has gone out for a five or six-year old girl to play Louise, the daughter of series stalwart DI Tosh – played by Alison O’Donnell.
Orla O’Connor Casting is on the hunt for a young girl who “must live on Shetland” to play the role, with a deadline set for Friday 27 February.
The casting call states that the young girl must be available from 30 March to 9 August for filming, but was not likely to be used more than four or five days.
It comes after local lass Havana Duncan was selected to play a speaking part in series 10 of the show last year, watched on screen by millions in the role of Chloe Burnett.

Series 10 of the show aired in November and December last year, with star Ashley Jensen due to return for series 11 in the role of DI Ruth Calder.
The BBC is expected to release information about the storyline for series 11, along with more casting information, nearer the time.
