Man appears from custody on drugs charges

A MAN from Rochdale has appeared in private from custody at Lerwick Sheriff Court charged with drug offences.

James Heaney, 30, has been charged with being concerned in the supply of drugs.

Heaney also faces two charges of having a controlled drug in his possession.

He made no plea and was committed for further examination, and was remanded in custody for consideration of bail.

Heaney is due to appear at court again tomorrow (Friday).
