Community / Hundreds of Lerwick homes lose power

ALMOST 800 properties in Lerwick lost power just after half past four this afternoon (Saturday).

Engineers have been alerted and the hope is to have customers reconnected by 10pm tonight, according to SSE.

The company said the power cut was caused by a fault in the utility’s underground network.
