In Pictures / Crowd enjoys festive cheer as Santa comes to town

Santa Claus greets a crowd of adults and children on a decorated street at night; people are bundled up in winter clothing and there is a small brass band in the background.

LERWICK town centre was packed with hundreds of excited bairns and their parents on Saturday afternoon for the arrival of Santa and the traditional parade along Commercial Street and the Christmas lights on at the Market Cross.
