Police / Woman struck by vehicle in Levenwick was police officer
THE WOMAN struck by a vehicle in Levenwick early on Thursday morning was a police officer, it is understood.
A 19-year old man was arrested following the incident at around 7.30am, which occurred after an earlier crash in the area.
The A970 road was closed for a short time in the aftermath. The woman was taken to the Gilbert Bain Hospital for treatment.
Police Scotland said it nothing further to add when asked for an update this morning (Friday).
