Court / Sheriff to leave Lerwick role in December
SHERIFF Ian Cruickshank is set to leave his post at Lerwick Sheriff Court in the coming months.
Scottish Courts confirmed that Sheriff Cruickshank would leave the role, which he has held since 2018, at the end of December.
The sheriff is part of the Grampian, Highlands and Islands sheriffdom, and sits at Inverness Sheriff Court as well as in Lerwick.
A spokesperson for the Judicial Office for Scotland said they were now working on finding a successor.
“The Judicial Office is working closely with the Judicial Appointments Board (JABS) for Scotland to plan a range of judicial appointments, including the shrieval post in Lerwick,” they said.
“Additional information will become publicly available through JABS as this work progresses.”
