Sport / Orkney win Stuart Cup for third time in a row

ORKNEY have retained the Stuart Cup after winning the junior inter county 154.5 to 140.5.

One the second day of the event, held in Shetland this year, the Blues started the day with an emphatic win in the netball 47 to 31 narrowing the gap between both teams to just eight points.

However, Orkney went on to win the swimming (51.5 to 45.5) to claim the Stuart Cup for the third time in a row.

The Blues had started the day 24 points behind their Orcadian rivals after a narrow win (48 to 47) in the athletics, and defeats in both hockey and football on Saturday.
