Community / Plenty of fun in store as Codona’s arrive in Lerwick

MORE details about the Codona’s funfair coming to Lerwick for the Tall Ships have been revealed.

Among the fun will be two rides, including ‘Twister’ and ‘Free Fall’, as well as children’s bumper cars, trampoline fun for the bairns and stalls with funfair games.

Truckloads of equipment was taken up on the NorthLink boat last night (Monday).

Organiser Jensen Codona said the team came to Shetland back in December to view the site, which will be near the old fish market.

Codona said: “The Tall Ships team have been a great support to make this adventure happen.”

The funfair will be open from 11am to 11pm from Wednesday to Saturday.

Funfairs have previously come to Lerwick over the decades, but their visits are few and far between.
