BOUJEE House of Beauty is a finalist in two categories at the Scottish Health and Beauty Awards (SHABAs).

The Commercial Road salon is in the running for the best beauty salon and best nail bar categories.

The business was founded by Jane Keddie in 2019.

Her premises now offer a range of treatments for nails, brows, lashes, hair and makeup.

Keddie told Shetland News she “couldn’t be happier” to hear the news.

“We all as a team, I think are still in shock,” she said.

“It’s such a huge award and we couldn’t be prouder.

“This has been the biggest year of growth for us moving premises and more than doubling our staff team and this just feels like the icing on top of the cake.”

She says her mother nominated the business for the awards.

Keddie said: “I spoke about it last year and it was on my bucket list for this year to win an award.

“I think she [saw] the opportunity and went for it, so glad she did.”

The awards ceremony will be held in Glasgow on 1 October. Keddie and her team are planning to attend.
