Health / Plenty of interest in NHS chief executive job
THERE has been “significant interest” in the vacancy for NHS Shetland’s chief executive role.
The deadline for applications was Monday.
Current chief executive Michael Dickson recently announced he will be moving to the Scottish Ambulance Service.
A spokesperson for NHS Shetland said: “As the date for applications closed at midnight on Monday 17 April, the review and selection process will now begin.
“There was significant interest in this post and we will now progress through an intensive assessment process.”
Dickson joined NHS Shetland in early 2020 and said it has been a “privilege” to lead the health board for the last three years.
