EMERGENCY services were called out to the Westside on Sunday night following reports of concern for a woman on the A971 near Bixter.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said the woman was taken to Gilbert Bain Hospital in Lerwick.
The call to the police came in around 9.20pm.
