Energy / Engineers work into the early hours to fix Northmavine power cut

AROUND 200 properties in Northmavine lost power last night (Monday) following a fault on the overhead network which supplies Hillswick, Eshaness and Heylor.

Engineers were despatched to investigate the fault at around 10pm and all properties were reconnected by 3.35am after repairs were carried out.

A spokesperson from SSEN Distribution said: “We would like to apologise to our customers who were affected by last night’s power cut and assure them that our engineers did all they could to restore supplies as safely and as quickly as possible.”
