Weather / Wintry weather brings more disruption
THERE is more disruption likely today (Tuesday) due to the windy and wintry weather.
The Met Office has issued a fresh weather warning for wind for Shetland between midday and 5pm.
A number of shops have decided to close for the day, as has the Shetland Museum and Archives.
Inter-island ferry services are currently running but they could be suspended later in the day when the wind is expected to pick up.
A number of public bus services have been temporarily suspended, including numbers 9, 21, 23, 24, 31F & 37F, although some are still running.
Inter-island flights are currently suspended.
The NorthLink ferries will run to a heavily altered timetable and a Covid vaccination clinic which was due to take place today has been postponed.
