Coronavirus / Vaccination centre shuttle bus to run seven days a week
THE FREE return shuttle bus to the mass Covid vaccination centre in Lerwick will now run seven days a week to support extended opening hours at the clinic, Shetland Islands Council said on Friday.
The service will continue to operate this weekend for anyone with appointments at the vaccination centre at the Independent Living Centre at Gremista.
The first bus will depart the Viking Bus Station at 9.50am on both Saturday and Sunday and will depart every 30 minutes thereafter, at ten minutes to and twenty minutes past each hour, with the last departures at 4.20pm.
From Monday (8 February) onwards, buses will depart the Viking Bus Station at 7.50am and will operate every 10 minutes thereafter, with the last departure at 7.40pm.
This bus service will operate seven days per week, supporting all appointments within the extended opening hours of the vaccination centre.
Passengers on the shuttle buses will need to wear a face covering and use socially distanced seating. The buses will also be cleaned between journeys.
