News / Shetland celebrates victory in 102nd Milne Cup clash

SHETLAND retained the Milne Cup in a closely fought clash with rivals Orkney in Kirkwall on Saturday afternoon.

The isles’ football team won 1-0 thanks to a James Aitken strike in the 70th minute.

The match, broadcast live by BBC Radio Orkney on their YouTube channel, took place under stringent Covid-19 rules with no spectators and health checks.
