Hotel hands mental healthy charity funding boost
A HOTEL in Brae has donated £5,000 to local mental health charity Mind Your Head.
In addition to everyday activities, the donation will also contribute towards the charity’s future plans to expand into another area of focus – providing support and services to new parents.
The Moorfield Hotel picked Mind Your Head as its local charity partner a year ago.
Moorfield Hotel general manager Ailsa Sangster said: “We were delighted to present Mind Your Head with a cheque for £5,000 as it works to combat mental health stigma here in Shetland.
“The charity does fantastic work to promote positive mental health and wellbeing, whilst ensuring that the support and services they provide are easily accessible for anyone who needs it.
“We’re proud to support Mind Your Head and we hope our donation assists the charity as it continues to provide invaluable mental health support.”
Services manager at Mind Your Head Anouska Civico said: “We are overwhelmed by the generous donation from the Moorfield Hotel and would like to send our sincere thanks.
“A donation of this size has such a big impact on a charity and this money means that we can also further develop our plans for supporting new parents. We would like to say thank you to everyone involved.”
