Arts / Comedian Alan Carr to head north
COMEDIAN Alan Carr is set to head to Shetland for a gig in Lerwick later this year.
The well-known funnyman will take to the stage at Mareel on 20 October as part of his Work in Progress tour.
It is part of a tour of smaller venues in Scotland, including towns like Fort William, Kirkwall and Wick.
Tickets will go on sale at 10am on Thursday via the Shetland Arts box office.
Award-winning Carr is known for TV shows like Chatty Man, while he has also hosted programmes on BBC Radio 2.
