Failed to carry out hours
A MAN who appeared in court from custody after failing to comply with a community payback order has had his case deferred until the middle of next month.
Simon Newcombe, of Ladies Drive, Lerwick, was fined and ordered to complete 100 hours of unpaid work back in November after he admitted possessing an offensive weapon – a pool cue – and threatening to fight another man on 26 March last year.
He admitted the breach when he appeared at Lerwick Sheriff Court on Monday and has been given just over three weeks to demonstrate his ability to comply with the order.
Newcombe will reappear on 14 March, having already been scheduled to appear on that date in relation to a deferred sentence for another matter.
