News / Police seek witnesses to dangerous overtaking

POLICE are seeking information following reports of dangerous driving on the main road between Lerwick and Brae on Wednesday lunchtime.

The reports relate to a dark-coloured vehicle overtaking a car, van and articulated lorry into the face of an oncoming vehicle a few miles north of the Halfway House on the A970 at around 12.50pm.

The oncoming vehicle had to stop and pull in to the side of the road to avoid a collision.

Any witnesses are asked to contact police by dialling 101 or attending Lerwick Police Station in person.
