Letters / Open letter to NHS Shetland
I have two questions for NHS Shetland.
1) NHS Shetland has a duty of care for patients and will be responsible for patients travelling to hospital appointments where the NHS has handled the travelling arrangements. If patients decide to book the plane themselves will they still get this same level and duty of care extended to them as they have booked their own travel?
2) Has NHS Shetland looked into whether island and other discounts would apply when they book travel on the boat on behalf of their patients?
