SHETLAND NEWS would like to apologise to the council’s planning department for an error in a recent news story.

On Monday we said that plans to convert the Viking Bus Station waiting room into a café still needed planning permission and building standards approval.

That’s not correct! Planning permission was in fact granted on 10 September 2014, and building standards is still waiting for conversion plans to be submitted before a decision can be made.
