Letters / Blaming of immigrants
The BBC’s main crusade for some time now has been the normalisation and boosting of UKIP, and the blaming of immigrants for all our ills.
There was a splendid example on this morning’s Andrew Marr show. I quote, verbatim:
Trevor Phillips, former chair of the Equality and Human Rights Commission (who should be ashamed of himself): ‘I had the privilege of being at UKIP’s Doncaster conference and what was most striking there was that it wasn’t the BNP in blazers, it wasn’t a lot of southern colonels, there are a lot of really solid sort of middle class, lower middle class people from the north at that conference …’
Andrew Marr: ‘… who just feel left behind, ignored and unloved by the main parties …’
Amanda Platell of the UKIP Daily Mail: ‘… and it doesn’t help when they’ve been described by all the leaders of the parties as being fruitcakes and loons. … What a stupid thing that was to do.’
Anyone who doubts that UKIP is a party of fruitcakes and loons should listen to the following, from LBC. You won’t hear anything like it on the BBC!
