Relay for LIfe 2014

SHETLAND’S biggest fund raising event Relay for Life raising cash for Cancer Research UK (CRUK) is to take place on 31 May next year.

Teams can register for the all night gathering at Clickimin’s running track from Friday 4 October on the CRUK website. Flyers will be handed out at Tesco that evening from 5 to 8pm and from 10am to 4pm on Saturday.

Last year the Shetland Relay for Life raised an extraordinary £275,370 for the charity, earning the local event CRUK’s Flame of Hope award for fundraising.

Anyone seeking more information or willing to volunteer can contact the chairwoman Kerry Eunson on 07825 182494 or kerry.a.eunson@btinternet.com or go to CRUK Relay for Life Shetland on Facebook.
