UP HELLY Aa has edged a little bit closer after the final mass meeting of guizers was held on Tuesday evening at Mareel.

It is the night where the many squads of guizers find out when they are visiting each hall.

Up Helly Aa is taking place in Lerwick on next Tuesday (27 January), with Lynden Nicolson this year’s guizer jarl.

One thing different this year will be the cruise ship which is scheduled to be in Lerwick.
