Weather / Stormy seas wash over Lerwick amid gale-force winds
IT IS no wonder that flights and ferries have been cancelled today (Sunday) when you look at these stormy scenes in Lerwick.
Photographer Dave Donaldson caught this great shot of the waves washing over Breiwick Road as high winds hit the isles.
Both of NorthLink’s Sunday night passenger sailings have been cancelled due to the conditions, while Loganair has also been forced to cancel a number of flights to and from Sumburgh.
A yellow weather warning for wind is in place until 9pm tonight.
