Council / Brae school to close early due to worsening weather

ALL DEPARTMENTS of Brae High School are to close at 2pm today (Thursday) due to worsening weather conditions.

The school said that all transport operators would leave the school at 2pm.

The closure comes after three schools in the Westside were kept shut this morning because of the wintry weather.

Aith Junior High School and the primary schools at Happyhansel and Sandness have remained closed.

It comes after the SIC announced yesterday (Wednesday) that all schools were due to open today.

Parents are asked to check the school transport voicebank for any updates on 01595 745743.

All schools were closed on Monday and Tuesday due to the wintry weather, with some reopening yesterday.
