Paid for contentShetland filming focusses again on Levenwick
THE SHETLAND filming crew will return to Levenwick Beach and the hamlet of Netherton for four days this week and a further day in early July.
To allow safe filming and the crews to move around a road closure will be in place on Netherton Rd at the junction with Willal to allow filming of exterior scenes and reduce severe congestion due to the number of production vehicles in the area.
Vehicular access to Levenwick Beach will not be possible during filming hours though access on foot will be at times when the beach is not in shot.
The closure will be taken off during non-filming hours and non-filming days.
Filming dates and times will be as follows:
- Wed 18 June – 7am to 6pm
- Thu 19 June – 7am to 6pm
- Fri 20 June – 7am to 8pm
- Sat 21 June – 7am to 7pm, and
- Thu 03July – 12pm to 7pm
Assistant location manager Andy Ross said: “The production team will endeavour to help with any deliveries to properties or any special access requirements.
“We apologise in advance for any inconvenience this may cause and thank you for your patience in this matter.”
