Transport / Early sailing due to adverse weather forecast

THE HROSSEY will sail early from Lerwick tonight (Friday) and could be delayed by up to two hours arriving into Aberdeen on Saturday.

NorthLink said the “adverse weather forecast” meant the ferry would now leave Shetland at 4.30pm, an hour earlier than planned.

Arrival into Kirkwall tonight may also be delayed by up to an hour.

NorthLink has now warned of disruption through to Friday 28 February.

A yellow weather warning for wind is in place on Sunday, from 6am to 6pm.
