THE SHETLAND Junior Intercounty Association is looking for new members to join the committee for the 2025 sporting event.

At present the current committee members have contributed to the success of this event for several years however there will be positions which must be filled at the next AGM.

Secretary Victoria Duthie said: “We are excited to find the next crop of members who can continue bringing good ideas to the group.

“As a committee member, you will have several responsibilities before and during the weekend event which could including ensuring the necessary facilities are booked, ordering and disseminating clothing, programmes and medal as well as liaising with Orkney.”

She said there are several roles in particular which require nominees, including chair, secretary and media.

Duthie added that the junior intercounty group “relies heavily” on volunteers filling roles.

Anyone with questions is asked to contact shetlandintercounty@gmail.com.

Meanwhile people can attend the AGM in person at the Loch Bar, Clickimin at 7.30pm on 19 November, or remotely via Zoom – with folk advised to email for a link.
