News / Man taken to hospital after Shetland Catch incident
A FORTY year old man has been taken to hospital after being injured at the Shetland Catch fish processing premises in Lerwick this morning (Thursday).
Police Scotland said it was called to the scene at around 9am to reports of a man being injured.
Emergency services attended and the man was taken to the Gilbert Bain Hospital for treatment.
“Enquiries are continuing and the Health and Safety Executive has been notified,” Police Scotland said.
The chief executive of Shetland Catch owner Pelagia, Egil Magne Haugstad, said he had been made aware of the incident but had no further details.
