Sport / Seumas secures Shetland’s first silver in Guernsey
THERE is more joy for Shetland at the Island Games tonight (Tuesday) as long-distance runner Seumas MacKay has achieved a silver in the men’s 1,500m.
He completed the distance in 3:53.79.
The athlete is the first man to win a medal at this year’s games for Shetland, and has scooped the first silver for the isles.
MacKay previously won gold in the 800m race in Gibraltar back in 2019.
