Emergency services / Coastguard helicopter airlifts passenger from Norröna
THE SUMBURGH based coastguard rescue helicopter was tasked to airlift a passenger from the Norröna ferry north west of Yell on Sunday night in a medical evacuation.
The passenger was taken to Sumburgh instead of the Clickimin landing site in Lerwick due to weather conditions. An ambulance collected the passenger from Sumburgh.
The Norröna was on her route from Denmark to Faroe at the time.
