Letters / Despair
I now feel absolute despair rather than anger by Danus Skene’s stock answer regarding the Viking Energy wind farm (Viking: the horse has bolted; SN, 11/04/2015).
I had hoped that a presumably educated man such as himself would have taken a little time to study the fast growing evidence of the devastating effect of wind turbines on human and animal health as well as the destruction of a fragile environment during construction.
Instead Mr Skene choses to believe the spin and propaganda ‘sprootit oot’ by the wind farm industry.
Like myself he is old enough to remember the misinformation peddled by the wealthy tobacco industry – maybe he should consider what a wealthy wind farm lobby is capable of.
And here’s a clue – it has damn all to do with ‘saving the planet’.
