News / Assaulting minors
SENTENCE on a Polish man who admitted two counts of assaulting minors and a breach of the peace was deferred at Lerwick Sheriff Court until April for reports to be prepared.
The court heard on Wednesday how Sebastian Wrzos, of 4 Blacksness House, Scalloway, assaulted a 14 year old girl and a 15 year old boy on Commercial Street in the early hours of 26 August last year.
Procurator fiscal Duncan Mackenzie said things got out of hand when Wrzos was accused of sexual assault and then had a piece of pizza thrown in his face.
He said all parties had been drinking and their judgment had been impaired.
Wrzos pled guilty to striking the 14 year old on her head and punching the 15 year old on the head.
The 28 year old also admitted threatening behavior towards his former partner at an address at Sandveien, in Lerwick, on 8 April.
The fiscal said Wrzos had been in a belligerent mood when he returned home from a day out drinking.
He forced his former partner to lock herself in another room while he threw around furniture, including “a fairly large table”.
Wrzos will appear for sentencing on 18 April
