News / Man overboard named
THE MAN who died after falling overboard the NorthLink ferry Hjaltland on Sunday 5 August has been named as Antonio Bernabe Ramirez, aged 64, from Spain.
The ferry was about 30 miles north of Fraserburgh when the alarm was raised.
Mr Ramirez was airlifted and taken to the Aberdeen Royal Infirmary where he was pronounced dead.
Grampian Police said on Tuesday that there were no suspicious circumstances. A report is to be sent to the procurator fiscal.
