News / Football season kicks off

THE FOOTBALL season kicked off on Monday night with the Highland Fuels League Cup.

It’s the first chance players get to play outdoors competitively again before the full season and league starts.

Ness United faced Whitedale at Whalsay’s Harbison Park in a horrible night of rain and wind.

The final result was Ness United 1 – Whitedale 2 (scorer for Ness was Thomas Sinclair; scorers for Whitedale were Richard Sinclair and Duncan Anderson).
