News / Sheriff Napier moves on
A SHETLAND woman who breached her bail conditions became the last person in the dock to face fGraeme Napier before he leaves for his new posting.
Fining 31 year old Keri Butler £250 for failing to sign in at Lerwick police station on three occasions last autumn, Sheriff Napier completed an almost eight year long posting at the Lerwick and Kirkwall courts.
He told Butler of 66 Nederdale, Lerwick: “You have the privilege that you are the last person I deal with at this court.”
Mr Napier has been appointed sheriff at Aberdeen Sheriff Court.
Meanwhile in the northern isles, Sheriff Philip Mann will take over responsibility on a temporary basis until a permanent appointment is made.
