News / Sheriff jails two men for more than nine years
TWO Shetland men have been jailed for 57 and 52 months respectively at Lerwick Sheriff Court after admitting a “lengthy, sustained and extremely violent assault” of another man, in May this year.
Dale Henry (29), and Damien Hunt (27), both described as prisoners in Aberdeen, had admitted a charge of assault to severe injury and permanent impairment at a court hearing last month.
On Tuesday, Hunt was sentenced to 57 months in jail because he committed the offence while on bail. Henry was imprisoned for 52 months.
