Job Description:
We are looking for a skilled and dedicated time-served joiner to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be involved in a mix of commercial and domestic building and maintenance works. The role requires someone who can work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Location: Greenhead Base, Lerwick. Candidate also required to travel to various sites across Shetland where required.
Key Responsibilities
- Assembling, installing, and repairing structures and fixtures (new-builds, porches, extensions)
- Installation of bathroom fixtures and fittings
- Kitchen installation including cabinetry, countertops, and hardware
- Measuring and cutting materials to the required specifications
- Reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications
- Ensuring all work complies with relevant health and safety standards
Requirements
- Proven experience in joinery, with a focus on new-builds, extensions, bathrooms, kitchens, roofing
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality workmanship
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work on your own initiative
- Full driving licence and willingness to drive to various sites.
