AFTER nearly 30 years of trading, Lerwick business High Level Music is going up for sale.

Owner Fiona Adamson is looking to retire and is keen to “pass the baton” onto someone else.

The business operates from leased premises at the Market Cross, and is the only shop in Shetland offering music instruments and accessories.

It currently operates over three floors, alongside a complimentary business with teaching, rehearsal and workshop space.

It has been described as a “well loved business with potential for development”.

“Whether continuing the current format and renegotiating the lease or creating something new, it’s a rare opportunity to own a piece of Lerwick history and support Shetland’s musical community,” an advert said.

There is also the option to purchase stock only and add into an existing business, or to diversify online.

Offers of around £30,000 for the business as a going concern would be considered.

Anyone interested is asking to get in touch with Adamson on 01595 692618 or 07341567159, or message the shop Facebook page.

Prior to moving to the current premises, High Level Music operated from a space above the former A L Laing pharmacy at the Market Cross.
