SANTA Claus treated bairns to an early Christmas treat with a trip out on the Aith lifeboat this afternoon (Tuesday).

Families lined the Aith pier walkway to greet Saint Nick, who was in great cheer and stopped to say hi to everyone.

The Aith lifeboat crew then whisked him off for a day’s visitations, with folk in Brae and Voe set to get a sighting of him from the RNLI Charles Lidbury this afternoon.

The RNLI is currently running a Christmas appeal, which you can donate to here if you would like.

Santa’s busy day does not stop there though, with another trip through the streets of Brae planned tonight.

He will leave Foulawick at 6pm before travelling all the way through Brae to Busta.
