Transport / Overnight road closure to allow SSE to remove equipment

THE SANDWATER to Kergord road will be closed overnight from Wednesday through to Thursday to allow SSEN Transmission to remove equipment.

A spokesperson for the company said a stretch of the B9075 between Setters Corner and the Sandwater junction will be closed from 7pm on 19 March until 7am on 20 March.

A full signposted diversion via Stromfirth will be in place to allow road users to safely navigate past the road closure.

“Whilst we expect the impact to be minimal, we’d like to take the opportunity to thank all road users for their understanding and cooperation – and apologise for any inconvenience that this temporary closure may cause,” the spokesperson said.

A council roads notice said the closure was needed in the interests of safety to carry out “essential crane lifts” on the B9075 near the Sandwater junction.
