Arts / Edinburgh funk rockers announced as second Rising North headliner

High Fade are headlining the Friday night of the 2025 Rising North music festival.

EDINBURGH based funk rock band High Fade have been announced as the second headliner for this year’s Rising North music festival.

The trio will take to the Clickimin stage on the Friday night (15 August) of the event.

The band are described as being on a “three-man crusade to set dance floors alight with their inimitable brand of razor-sharp funk and disco”.

High Fade are currently on tour in America and can boast a massive social media following – they have 439,000 followers on Instagram, for instance – while famous fans include movie star and rocker Jack Black.

Rising North said the band’s “refined, infectious live performance has become an integral part of the band’s DNA, allowing them to put on a show that supersedes anything their fans have experienced before”.

It comes after Scottish singer-songwriter Callum Beattie was announced to headline the Saturday night of the festival.

Rising North has now announced the evening line-up for the Clickimin on the Saturday, which includes The Dead Pans, Rack ’N’ Ruin and Shipyard Riot.

Glasgow band Hound, who feature local musician Zack Manson, will return to the isles after making their Shetland debut at the Boppapallooza festival last year.
