Sport / Sprinter through to tomorrow’s final

SHETLAND saw more triumph on the athletics track this evening (Tuesday).

Katie Dinwoodie came first in her 200m semi-final, meaning that she will go through to tomorrow’s final.

Mhia Mouat and Bobby Laurenson placed 5th and 4th in their semis for the same distance, but will not progress to the finals.

In the swimming pool, Rhona Anderson made it to the women’s 100m backstroke finals, but there was no medal for her this time.

Emmie Hutchison narrowly lost out on a medal in the 50m butterfly to Ellen Woivalin from Aland, who claimed the bronze this evening.
