Health / Heart screening bookings to go live this afternoon
PEOPLE are being reminded that bookings for a heart screening event for young people in June will go live at 2pm today (Tuesday).
The screening event, for people aged 14 to 35, will take place at the Clickimin in Lerwick on 11 and 12 June following a successful community fundraising drive.
People can book online here from 2pm, with folk given the chance to select from a list of times.
If nothing is showing on the drop down menu then it means the time is fully booked.
People are advised that once someone has chosen a day and time they will have around 60 minutes to complete the booking form before the slot is released for someone else.
Organising group Shetland Heart Screening said: “So please make sure you go through the booking process fully and get confirmation at the end. You will also be sent confirmation of your appointment by email.
“All information entered is completely confidential and only accessible by the staff carrying out the screening. We at Shetland Heart Screening have no access to this information.
“Once all the slots are fully booked we at Shetland Heart Screening will hold a waiting list, in case we have any cancellations or no shows on the day.
“By joining the waiting list, you will have to be available to attend on either 11 or 12 June, at what could be relatively short notice.”
