Community / Halloween house raises hundreds for charity
MORE than £600 has been raised for local charity Ability Shetland thanks to a ‘Halloween House’ in the South Mainland and a raffle.
Krista and Colin Tulloch spruced up the outside of their home in Dunrossness with a spooky display for Halloween last week.
The eye-catching display was held in the evenings in the lead up to Sunday.
People were invited to leave spare cash for Ability Shetland when they visited, with more than £520 being donated by the community.
A further £86 was raised for Ability Shetland through a Halloween raffle the couple organised through the Mainlands shop.
Krista Tulloch said “we are beyond humbled by the huge amount of generosity of the community”.
